Operational Limitations 122 APPENDIX D Operational Limitations The following operational limitations exist when running the Integration Manager with the specified version of QuickBooks: Below are some additional limitations: • The Integration Manager must be un-installed if QuickBooks is being un-installed. • Client-type user defined fields (UDFs) in WebTimeSheet allow up to 50 characters, however cus- tom fields in QuickBooks only allow up to 30 characters. As a result, if you attempt to transfer a value which is longer 30 characters from a Web TimeSheet UDF to a QuickBooks custom field, an error message will be returned. • French (Canada) regional settings are not supported in version 2.4 and higher of the Integration Manager. QuickBooks Version Limitations QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions U.S. Edition 6.0 • Version 2.3 or higher of the Integration Manager is required to work with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions U.S. Edition 6.0. QuickBooks 2006 • Before installing the Integration Manager you must update QuickBooks Pro and Premier Canadian Edition 2006 with the latest patches. Due to a known issue with QuickBooks, the patches must be installed in order for the Integration Manager to be able to connect to QuickBooks. • Version 2.2 or higher of the Integration Manager is required to work with QuickBooks 2006.
