CHAPTER 1
Welcome
Welcome to the Web TimeSheet Integration Manager for QuickBooks User Guide. This guide provides in-
formation on installing and using the Web TimeSheet Integration Manager for QuickBooks, which will be re-
ferred to as the Integration Manager throughout this user guide.
About the Integration Manager
The Integration Manager acts as a roadway for Web TimeSheet and QuickBooks, allowing information to
travel back and forth between the two applications. With the ability to transfer time and expense data, the
Integration Manager is an ideal solution for those working on projects or tasks that are to be billed to clients.
Using Web TimeSheet, you can track the actual time spent working on projects, then transfer the data to
QuickBooks for payroll, or to invoice clients for the work completed. Expenses incurred against the project
can also be entered in Web TimeSheet, and transferred to QuickBooks to reimburse employees, pay ven-
dors and charge clients.
About this User Guide
This user guide is designed to help you understand how the Integration Manager works, and how to config-
ure it to best meet your needs.
The first four chapters provide information on installing and getting started with the Integration Manager. Key
concepts and practices are also detailed.
The fifth chapter, Determining the Structural Relationship to Use on page 29, talks about structural relation-
ships and how to select the correct one for your business. Structural relationships allow you to configure how
data transferred from one application will appear in the other.
This chapter provides help on selecting a structural relationship, and directs you to the appropriate chapter
within this user guide, for more information on transferring data using that structural relationship.
In addition to this document, a Quick Start Guide is available, which provides the basic details required to
begin using the Integration Manager.
